What Is Tandem Paragliding?
You sit in a passenger harness attached to the same wing as a certified tandem pilot. The pilot flies. You follow short instructions for takeoff and landing — usually a few running steps as the wing inflates, then a seated flight.
You do not need solo paragliding experience. You also do not fly alone. Go Morocco Trek does not offer solo instruction on this program. If wind or visibility is poor, the flight does not go ahead that slot.
Why Aguergour Is a Popular Paragliding Area Near Marrakech
Aguergour sits in the Atlas foothills, close enough to Marrakech for a half-day outing. Takeoff is from 1,300 m above the village. From the air the program lists views of the High Atlas, the Haouz plain, the Agafay plateau, Berber valleys, and Marrakech on the horizon when visibility allows.
It is a mountain takeoff and a valley landing, not a city-centre attraction. The drive out of Marrakech is part of the half day.
What to Expect on Your Marrakech Paragliding Experience
This is the half-day sequence we actually operate:
- Pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech.
- Transfer through the Atlas foothills to the Aguergour launch (from 1 hour).
- Briefing and equipment check with your certified tandem pilot.
- Takeoff from the 1,300 m launch above the village, when the pilot is satisfied with conditions.
- Tandem flight of 15–20 minutes over the valley, depending on weather.
- Landing in the valley, then photos and video review.
- Return transfer to Marrakech.
We do not add extra stops that are not on this itinerary.

Separate three clocks:

We do not promise a fixed minute count. Weather can cut the slot short or move it to another time.
Do You Need Paragliding Experience?
For a tandem passenger: no. The certified pilot handles the wing.
For a solo pilot: that is a different activity. This product is one tandem flight only. We do not sell a training course here.
When Can You Go Paragliding in Marrakech?
Paragliding needs suitable wind, visibility and local conditions. The pilot and operator make the operational call. If the weather is bad, the flight is postponed or rescheduled at no extra cost — that is the written cancellation note on this program, not a guarantee that any particular morning will fly.
We do not publish a “best hour of the day” that always works. Conditions change by date. Ask when you enquire; we confirm a slot that the flying team can actually use.
What to Wear for Paragliding in Marrakech

Who Can Try Tandem Paragliding?
The product is aimed at first-time tandem passengers: solo travellers, couples and small groups. Most healthy adults and teenagers (with guardian consent) can fly tandem. Weight limits apply — tell us your weight and height when you enquire. We do not publish a fixed number here.
We do not publish a medical clearance list here. If you have a condition that might affect a short run at takeoff or a seated flight, say so before we confirm. The pilot can still decline a flight on the day if it is not appropriate.
Is Tandem Paragliding Safe?
It is an outdoor aviation activity, not a fairground ride. We do not call it risk-free.
